How to treat infections quickly and effectively
Treating athlete's foot isn't difficult and before long the worst symptoms, such as itching and soreness, can disappear. But importantly you must complete the course of treatment to clear the infection and then take preventive measures to avoid re-infection at a later date.
The Canesten AF range is a family of effective, easy-to-use treatments and prevention applications for athlete's foot. Canesten AF contains an anti-fungal agent called clotrimazole that works reliably and quickly to inhibit the growth of the fungus enabling the skin to repair itself and return to its original, pre-infected state. Clotrimazole also has anti-bacterial properties, giving the secondary benefit of helping to reduce foot odour, as bacteria can cause the feet to smell.
It is important to check your feet regularly because, despite being called athlete's foot, anyone can get it and it's actually very common. Some people leave their athlete's foot alone in the hope that it may vanish, but unfortunately without proper treatment this is not likely to happen.
