Are you suffering from the same symptoms as when you've previously had thrush? Remember, some of the typical symptoms could be:

  • Vaginal itching
  • Vaginal burring and / or soreness
  • Whitish, odourless, thick discharge

The following are not usually symptoms of thrush. Are you experiencing any of the following?

  • Irregular vaginal bleeding
  • Abnormal vaginal bleeding or a blood stained discharge
  • Ulcers, blisters or sores of the vagina or vulva.
  • Lower abdominal pain
  • Pain or difficulty passing urine
  • Fever or chills
  • Feeling sick or vomiting.
  • Diarrhoea
  • A foul smelling discharge from the vagina

We recommend you see a doctor for advice as these are not usually symptoms of thrush and may possibly indicate a different type of infection.

in the last 6 months?

Having thrush more than twice in a 6 month period means you should get advice from a healthcare professional

Please talk to your GP as we cannot confirm that the cause of your symptoms is thrush.

 
 
Are you currently on any medication or do you have any other medical condition including diabetes?

Some medications may interfere with thrush treatments.
