How to use Canesten® Thrush Combi Soft Gel Pessary & External Cream?
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using Canesten®
Step 1.
Internal
Twist the Soft Gel Pessary firmly into the applicator, insert the soft gel pessary as high as possible into vagina before going to sleep at night.
Step 2.
External
The cream should be thinly and evenly applied to the area around the entrance of the vagina 2 or 3 times a day and smoothed in gently. Please read package directions carefully before using until symptoms disappear. If pregnant or trying for a baby, consult your doctor or midwife before using Canesten®. Medicines can affect the unborn baby. Always read the label.

Thrush: what are the risk factors?
Yeast and bacteria are naturally present in your vagina. Thrush occurs when the level of Candida albicans increases. There are times when you're more prone to thrush:
When you have a weakened immune system
When you're on your period
When taking certain medications such as antibiotics
With medical conditions such as diabetes or HIV and when undergoing chemotherapy
Thrush: how can I prevent it?
Wear cotton underwear and change regularly, especially after exercise
Change your tampons or pads frequently
Avoid indulging in very hot bubble baths
Avoid stress and maintain a healthy diet free from high-sugar food
Avoid perfumed products in and around your intimate area
Wipe from front to back after going to the toilet
Can men get thrush?
It’s less common than in women, but men can also suffer from thrush symptoms.
